i was happy when i read about the reduced recharge of broad head arrow...but the 25 second recharge on oath shot saddens me. but since i use BHA more than oath shot, im pretty happy about the update. whats everyone's opinions on it?

This changes nothing. So we now have a 5 second break in WHirling Defense for oathshot trappers, not Earth Shattering.

No real difference for mt ranger, either. Slight difference with my warrior, but that is nowhere near the big deal that many seem to want to make of it.

Mhh, for better or for worse, I assume they'd get the morale boost as well? At least it would be a reason to keep your pet alive.

On another forum, Gaile said that there hadn't been any changes to pet DP, as far as she was aware.
Now, people are reporting that they do indeed get a DP now, but Gaile's response seems to strongly indicate that it's a bug, and will be fixed.
She outright said they didn't make any changes that weren't announced.

Apparently not. I'm skeptic of this myself. I've only heard this from one person, whom I don't think actually plays as a beast master.

I'm dissapointed with this whole update in general. There just seemed to be more nerfs than buffs. This applies to Rangers as well as how it affected the game in whole.
The Oath Shot nerf is only 5 seconds isn't crushing, but it hurts.
The Focused Shot nerf hurt a lot of people I know that ran that skill with BM attacks. I really don't see a much of a reason to use this skill anymore.
The update wasn't a huge nerf, but it was a dissapointment nonetheless...

Ah, well, Focussed Shot was a tad godly for beastmaster, or a bit uber at least, +22 dmg, 5E, 2 sec recharge and no downside was a bit too good to be true. Pet attacks are now considered attacks ... also for Marauders and Determined ... hurray.
